It’s Official: Chevrolet Volt Will Cost $41,000

Those waiting to find out the cost of the upcoming Chevrolet Volt now have their question answered. The all electric-vehicle will cost $41,000, General Motors announced today.

With the federal electric-vehicle tax credit, the price will drop down to $33,500. GM began taking orders for the car, which they call a "game-changer."

“This is a real car,” said Joel Ewanick, VP of North American marketing at GM. “It just happens to be electric. This is not a niche vehicle. This is the future of the automobile.”
