Keeping Both Hands on the Wheel

Drivers want voice-activated technology in their cars, according to a new Harris Interactive study. In the study, conducted April 6-26, 35 percent of drivers said they are likely to use these features in their car, up from 27 percent in 2009.

Fourteen percent of drivers said that they would be interested in Text to Speech and Speech to Text (TS-ST) technology, another hands-free innovation. The study also found that those who already own newer technologies like GPS and Bluetooth are more likely to want voice-activated technologies.
